As you well know, last summer ISAC celebrated its 25th anniversary, and Chef Nicholas has been in the industry for 40 years. Along the way, lots of friends have been made. One of those friends is Chef Joseph Cumm. Chef Joe often visits ISAC to teach in Studio B. Over the last few years he has taught chocolate bon bons, chocolate showpieces, chocolate flowers, a wildly popular French macaron class (which began as 1-one day class, and turned into 3-one day classes!), and most recently, he was a guest instructor at our Spring Open House 2018 event teaching chocolate Easter eggs. We are excited to announce that Chef Joe is coming back in August to teach Tea Party Pastries!

Trained as a pastry chef at Johnson and Wales, Chef Joe will be teaching many of the different pastries that you would be served at a tea party or tea house. This one day class will be partly demonstrations and partly hands on instructions. Students will be learning how to create cookies, rugelach, a variety of tartlets, mini-opera cakes, and of course, scones. While it's only June now, and Chef Joe's class isn't unil August, the pastries taught in this class are perfect for holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas; these are timeless pastries. Perfect for any informal or formal gathering. Also, I hear they are great at tea parties! My favorite part of Chef Joe's classes is that everyone always goes home with yummy treats. I may have eaten my body weight in French macarons and chocolate bon bons when he taught those classes!

Chef Joe's Tea Party Pastries is a one-day class, but is being offered twice on two consecutive days, August 25, and August 26 (click the dates to register for one date or the other). Both classes will have the exact same instruction and pastries, and will be held from 9am-4pm. The ISAC family is always so pleased when Chef Joe comes to town. Our students seem to love him too, his classes have been very popular. We hope Tea Party Pastries is just as popular- Chef Joe and the ISAC team hope to see you in Studio B for this class!
