I have some FABULOUS news to share with all of you, and I am pretty excited! Wayne Steinkopf of Swank Cake Designs will be our guest instructor at this year’s Grand Holiday Open House! Not only will Wayne have an incredible demo for the event, he will also be teaching two classes in Studio B!! You guys… all of Wayne’s projects are amazing, and I really think seats are going to sell out faster than you can say, “ISAC!”

First, let’s talk about the Open House demo. Wayne will show everyone how to create a 100% edible hanging Christmas ball ornament, decorated with lace! It is gorgeous! Oh, and yes, I did say 100% EDIBLE! I think I will let the photos speak for themselves.

I have to admit, I think these are really beautiful, and I cannot wait to see Wayne’s demo. This is why I love our Grand Holiday Open House; awesome guest instructors with awesome skills and techniques to share! You’ll be learning not only how to create the ball itself, but also how to use lace techniques that can be applied to loads of other sugar arts projects!

After Open House ends on Sunday afternoon (November 20th), Wayne will teach his first class in Studio B: the gravity defying Holiday Candy Bowl! If you thought you loved those Christmas ornament, wait to you see this cake!!! First of all, who doesn’t love gravity defying cakes? Second, it’s more magical than normal because it’s holiday themed! I even love the big sassy green M&M peeking out of the bowl! So, I know I have said it a million times on this blog, but classes that teach techniques that can be applied to a variety of projects, themes, or holidays/seasons are classes well worth taking!!! How about candy corn and jack-o-lantern, milk and cereal, or beer pouring into an ice cold glass? Once you learn the techniques from Wayne, you will be able to apply and modify those skills to your own projects! Don’t miss this great opportunity to up your cake decorating skills to the next level.

Oh, and for those of you with busy schedules- this is a GRAVITY DEFYING half day class on a Sunday. I don’t want to hear any excuses about missing out on this class!

Truth- I love the M&M cake. I do. But Swank Cake Designs has saved the best for last. As I was working with Wayne and Chuck, hashing out ideas for Studio B classes, the class that literally everyone at ISAC absolutely loved was Santa Stuck in the Chimney! This cake is adorable and hilarious! Santa dove down a chimney to deliver Christmas presents, but his big belly got him in trouble! This 1-day class will be held the Monday after Open House, November 21st. I totally love big Christmas lights, so that is my favorite detail on this cake. This cake is so much fun, and it would be a huge hit at any holiday party!

Well, there you have it everyone! Wayne from Swank Cakes will be spreading lots of holiday cheer at ISAC! I hope to see everyone at our Grand Holiday Open House and in both of Wayne’s classes. They are going to be so much fun, I am already counting down the days!

**We are still finalizing the last few details, so these classes are not yet on our website. They should be up very, very soon. If you want to secure a spot, please give us a call 1-800-662-8925. Molly or Carol can add you to the wait list!**

Sweetly yours,

Stephanie
